The Avis Travel Agent Scholarship is entering its 23rd year of celebrating and rewarding outstanding customer service in the travel industry across Australia and New Zealand. Over the course of its history, the award has developed into one of the most valuable and prestigious accolades offered to professionals in the industry.

This year, applicants will go into the running to be awarded the Scholarship prize valued at over $35 000. This prize includes a range of experiences, including international travel to conferences, professional mentoring for one year, and training opportunities with organisations such as Cruise Lines International Association Australasia (CLIAA).

The Avis Travel Agent Scholarship is designed to be rigorous, transparent and impartial process that explores extraordinary customer service in the travel sector. Individuals are required to answer a series of questions in the most creative way they see fit, highlighting their personal approaches to creative or innovative solutions to customer problems.

The scholarship is open to full-time travel agents in Australia and New Zealand. Finalists are now preparing their final responses, and will soon have the opportunity to travel to Sydney – with flights and accommodation covered by Avis – to present to our industry panel and attend the Awards Gala Dinner on Wednesday 13th November.
